Augmented chord

Find out what an augmented chord is used for.

What is an augmented chord? It's a chord in root position, except for that the V has been moved up a half-step. It is used before going to the subdomanint chord (IV). It is shown as a x+ most of the time (x being the chord name). You can see and listen to it on tbe side.

On the side there's a short clip of a G G+ CM7 progression. It's in some versions of What a wonderful world lead sheets. You can contact us if you have any other suggestions in our contact us page.
