The Sus4 Chord

What is the sus4 chord?

Sus4 chord

The sus4 chord is a suspended chord where the the third note is replaced with a fourth. It is used in a lot of songs, including Mozart's Sonatina No. 16, k545 shown in the suspension page (or suspended chord). Because it doesn't have a minor or major third, it can be used in minor and major songs. It normally isn't played as a chord in classical music, and not so much in any other type of music except in lead sheets.

It is used in almost all types of western music, but it is used most in popular music and folk music. If you want to add anything or suggest anything, contact us here.
